nothing to do with the present lesson but could you help me in translating the following phrase:
"I don't speak fluently arabic but I get by / manage" my particular concern is the word "fluently" for which I have alternatives : "bi Talaqa" or "FaSeeHan" but not sure though..

Use (Betalaaqah) as (fluently).. Here is the translation of the sentence: أنا لا أتكلّم العربية بطلاقة, لكنني أتدبر أمري
Ana laa atakallam al3arabeyyah be6alaaqah, laakenany atadabar amry.
The words (atadabar amry) here means (I can sort myself out).

you mean (Film jayed) .. yes you can,, that will mean Good/nice film.

Why did you use talaa9a istead of fasee7an?

As the question in the first comment asked about how to say (I don't speak fluently...), the word Talaaqah is used because it is the direct and literal meaning of (fluently).
The word fa9aa7ah (eloquence) gives the indication of having a skill in speaking, not just being able to speak, but also able to arrange and play with the words either in colloquial or classical.

Can one substitute for ايش each of the following words: ‘woosh’ ‘shoe’ and ‘ma’a’
And, if so, what dialects are the above three words from? Ma'a would be the MSA equivalent?

I never heard of (woosh) before, probably you mean (weesh) or (wesh) which is a specific colloquial way of saying (what) in some parts of Iraq, south Jordan and probably some of the gulf countries.
The word (shoo) also can be used, it is used in Syria, Palestine, Lebanon and Jordan.
I guess the MSA word that you mean is (maad'a ماذا), if so then yes it is equivalent to these colloquial terms.
I have to say that was good example to show how we decide what to choose from colloquial Arabic, because the examples that were given are sometimes specific for certain region so we normally use (maad'a ماذا) which is the classical one or (eesh إيش) which is widely used and well known to everyone.

Mohammed, do you also speak Mandarin? What about Ehab, does he speak Spanish too? : ) ما شاء الله

@lesliew, I have been a casual learner of Mandarin for the past 5-6 years, and Ehab was learning Spanish for a while. Arabic is the best though :-)

I have a question, just because of my curiosity; what is the proper word for "shuf"?

Cebrax, the word for (shoof) in classical Arabic is (un6'ur أنظر) which means (look).

Rahaba in Quran means,,scared,frigtned...but in this dialogue means brilliant or great stuff...anyway I love your works guys,,your vocal voice is very clear..Im learning Arab Traditional(Nahwu shorof), and this tutorial helps me a lot
