again very usefull - practical ready to use -is in claccical arabic dualis for غرفة not غرفتان ? ( nominative)
-
A very useful lesson, good mix of grammar and vocabulary. I have never come across ارجوك for please before, is it used much? Could other words like ممكن و من فصلك be used in it's place?
-
Plop,, two rooms in Arabic is غرفتان, but in this lesson the dual was Mu9'aaf (مضاف) so the (ن) at the end is dropped. This is grammar, if you are not familiar with the word Mu9'aaf you can download the lesson (Al-idhaafah), just search for (grammar) in the search box.
-
Yes Helen, أرجوك is used a lot in Arabic, it means (please).. من فضلك could be used instead of it, however, من فضلك literally means (from your favour) which is like when we say in English (could you do me a favour).

THANK U GUYS!!!VERY HELPFUL

Lower Intermediate - Looking for a flat
March 10th, 2009 | 1 comment |
We have a practical lesson today with some important vocabulary for those looking for a flat. We don't want you to end up on one of the Arab side streets because you didn't know how to ask an agent for a suitable flat, so listen to this lesson and learn how to say two bedrooms in one word in Arabic. Arabic is so cool, as well as singular and plural forms it can deal with dual, go Arabic!!
