To change your phone to Arabic/English/French you need change the product code of your E71 to 0559571 and then do a phone update.
Download and install Nemesis Server Suite and use it to change the product code.
Then do a phone update using PC Suite and it will install French/Arabic/English. -
One of the key words in this podcast is ﺘﻨﺎﻮﻞ, which corresponds to the noun “consumption” in English. In English, however, “consumption” has two main meanings: (a) eating or drinking and (b) the utilization of economic goods (e.g. cars and refrigerators). In Arabic ﺘﻨﺎﻮﻞ seems to correspond to the first meaning, while ﺍﺴﺘﻬﻼﻚ corresponds to the second.
A similar distinction is made in German, where the consumption of food or drink is termed “Genuss” (e.g. “der Genuss alkoholischer Getränke”), while the utilization of economic goods is described as “Konsum” or “Verbrauch” (e.g. “der Verbrauch von Wirtschaftsgütern”). However, there is a certain amount of overlap between “Genuss” and “Konsum” since food and drink can be considered as economic goods. This explains the occurrence of word combinations such as “der Konsum von Fleischprodukten”. I wonder if there is any overlap between the Arabic terms ﺘﻨﺎﻮﻞ and ﺍﺴﺘﻬﻼﻚ.
Upper Intermediate - Fizzy drinks

In today's lesson we go through an article taken from the BBC warning about the dangers of excessive consumption of fizzy drinks. Many of us drink fizzy drinks on a daily basis and I don't think we'll be put off because of this article, but it's good to understand the risks as well as go through the Arabic that is taken from a real life article.
