I just wanted to try the Home work and see if I am right.
1. Alhamdulillah! My leg is now better.
2. Why? Did you hurt it?
3. Yes. My ankle was hurting and it took two days to rest. -
Oh, good job Quest, It is right, just the bit that you say (it took two days to rest), this one was (أخذتُ يومين من الراحة) which is (I took two days). But hey, still well done.

Thanks again guys for a useful lesson. Probably 'much better' is closer than 'far better' (although the meaning is the same) in English for أفضل بكثير
I've noticed that eg too many (or hot etc) and very many are commonly not distinguished in Arabic (which has created some confusion for me in the past) although have found there are ways of expressing the 'more than ideal/required/desired' = 'too' notion eg أكثر من اللازم and wondered whether qaleel or aql can be used for 'less than required'?

It's good to know the names of body parts. Today we're concentrating on the leg because the guy in the dialogue seems to have had an injury, but fortunately it's getting better. We also discuss some cultural phrases to say to people after they have been through an operation or journey, so make sure to listen to this podcast if you want to impress your Arab friends.

A: Thank god my leg is now better.
B: Why? Did you hurt yourself?
A: Yes. I hurt myself and I took two days rest.
A little guesswork, especially the last sentence between "yes" and "two days rest".
