great - very nice metaphores - alf mabruuk

A bit depressing but the tune is very nice. I learnt a lot of nice words here - thanks! By the way, would you happen to have any recommendations for a way of obtaining Arabic nasheed on-line - by ordering the CD or getting the MP3? I found a few things online but I'm curious to know if there is a highly recommended site.

This was such a beautiful piece, i managed to find the full version of this nasheed online. For me it is very calming to listen to rather than sad because I don't yet remember all the lyrics but I am slowly starting to pick out and remember the words and their meanings. I find the songs very helpful for learning arabic (for example "the boy and the sea" lesson was also a gem. Thanks guys.

Beautiful Nasheed! The geocities link to the Nasheed is no longer working. Does anyone know who sang this Nasheed and what is the title of it? Is it accessable on line?
Jazak-Allah Khair! -
Dear quest,
If you key in "Farshi Thurab" you'll find the video on YouTube. -
أحب هذه الأغنية Thanks a lot.
Honestly,I tried this beautiful lesson a few month ago,but it was still difficult for me at that time.So today was my second try and I'm very happy to find myself feeling much easier to get into this.Very good lesson in many ways.
Also I am happy that I could somehow find some time to study at the very first day of 2013.Finishing all the beginner lessons and catching up with the latest lesson is one of my goal of this year.Indeed the speed of our teachers' creating new lessons is kind of increadible! :gulp: -
no song has ever made me break down into tears before,. unti now... Amazing!
this is the power of the arabic language! -

@chazyouwin, even though I heard this song before many times, I heard it again via your link, never get bored of it. It's a good reminder of where we're heading, that life is short and we need to live it wisely
-
I've listened to the full song on youtube. It would be nice if you guys could do another lesson on the second part.

We go through part of a song which may seem slightly controversial to some societies, because it's about something that is not often talked about. You will find that this displeasing subject is frequently brought up in the Arabic culture, but for good and healthy reasons. What is this subject and what kind of vocabulary does it involve? Listen to the podcast to find out.
