It is Li7aa actually.

@ Ehab
There is a website where two plural forms are given. In one case the first vowel is "i" (like the "i" in Engl. "it"), while in the other case the first vowel is "u" (like the "u" in Engl. "put"). -
@Desmond
According to Hans-Wehr dictionary, the plural of
لحية
is
لحى
Its pronunctiation can be either lu7an OR li7an

Thank you. That confirms what I found on the Speak Arabic Quickly website, but it contradicts what Ehab says. Interestingly, the plural given on the desert-sky.net website is "luha".
This seems to be a problem area. The plural is spelt the same way everywhere, but the short vowels apparently vary from region to region. It would be interesting to collect information about the plural forms that are currently in use in various Arab-speaking countries.
The guests received by Ehab and Mohamed sometimes come from Arab-speaking countries. I suggest that the problems posed by broken plurals should be discussed the next time a native speaker of Arabic turns up. -

How do you pronounce the plural of lihya (ﻠﺤﻴﺔ)? Do you say luha (ﻠﺤﻰ) or luhan (ﻠﺤﺊ)?
