-
@MajeedOlerudKhoso , they are really the same, it is just (إفطار) is used more often in Classical Arabic while (فطور) is commonly used in colloquial Arabic.

عيد مبارك
to you both, and to all Muslims celebrating Eid al-Fitr.
And thank you Mohamed and Ehab as always for great lessons: informative, entertaining and exceptionally helpful [though I think I need to head back to lower-intermediate lessons for now :) ].
And always great to learn about Islamic practice, something I as a Christian can be ignorant about. -

وعندي سؤال واحد
ما هو الفرق بين تجهيز و استعداد - هل يمكن ان اقول الطعام مستعد؟ -
Good question pdhbagel. (إستعداد) is used when referring to the doer (the one who arranges the thing), while (تجهيز) is used when we refer to the object (what was arranged).
For example, you say:
الطبّاخ مستعد لطبخ الطعام (The chef is ready to cook the food).
الطعام جاهز من ساعة (The food has been ready for an hour).
أتمنى أن تكون الفكرة وصلت.

It is Ramadan and millions are fasting around the world. Sunset is probably the most important time during the month, as it is the time when people get together and break their fast usually over a nice meal.
