ctownsend saysWed 31st Oct 12@10:32 pmSometimes you guys use the word waqt for time and others you use mara. Are they interchangeable or used in different contexts?
-
I will give two examples and I hope you would work out the difference because in English we really use (time) for both words and it makes it confusing.
- (I tried to call you many times حاولت الإتصال عليك عدة مرات).
- (I tried to call you at different times حاولت الإتصال عليك في عدة أوقات).
I hope you see the difference in (many times عدة مرات) and (at different times في عدة أوقات), so the first (marrah) describes a (moment) or a (tick of time) while (waqt) is really a (time) that you could specify like 10:30 ... -
Thanks Ehab! That does clear it up.
