Yes originally from Palestine (فلسطين).

The PDF is much easier to read with the vowels. This is a funny conversation. The employee wi,ll go in the washroom to give him soap. That is service.
-
Mahaban, this is not related to the current lesson, but any chance of terjemah (translate) the childrens' song "twinkle twinkle little star' - my daughter has learnt an arabic version at her preschool and I wanted to help her with it?! Shukran Gedan
-
@oranggila, we'll see if we can give it a try. Keep an eye out :-)
-
Shukran, this is really funny situation(not for that man ofcourse %-P )After going through earlier beginner lessons,I can see the same words and phrases are repeated in this lesson as well,so that I can understand and remember them easier.
BTW,I really appriciated the colour change in the lesson 'car for sale',because it helped me great deal to make a dictinction between verbs and pronouns.I think it was a homerun. Could users see it again? -
@Kurumi, glad you liked this lesson. Yes, we'll try to distinguish the pronouns in the transcripts with different colors. I'm aware that we stopped doing this for a while. Thanks for your feedback

I thought there would probably be a translation of Twinkle Twinkle on the web. I found one at LyricsTranslate.com:
المعي، المعي أيتها النجمة الصغيرة
المعي، المعي أيتها النجمة الصغيرة
كم أتسائل عن ماهيتك!
عاليا فوق العالم سامية
كالماسة في السماء

ma7haban bikom, the word 'صانون'is interesting for me cause in Japanese language,シャボン:shabon means soap as well. it was brought to Japan in 16th century by Portugal,so naturally it has the same origin.
@Oranggila
I found an Youtube video of Arabic twinkle twinkle little stars.but podcast lesson would be more helpful for beginners like me.

Shukrun Guys, Also - regarding saboon for soap - it is also the same word in my second language, Indonesian sabun means soap- there are hundreds, maybe a thousand Indonesian words from Arabic
-
مرحباً
Is there a difference between sha7'9 and a7ad? -
Kurumi, (sha7'9 شخص) means (person) and (a7ad أحد) means (one or someone).
-
Shukran Ehab,so in this lesson's context, are they interchangeable?
-
nice
-
I'm on the intermediate level, but I like going back to these beginning lessons to "fine tune" some of the basic words I don't now. These podcasts are really great!!!
-
what is the difference between La TaQlaQ and La tahtam?
Beginner - There's no soap

It sometime happens that you start the shower in a hotel and realize there is no soap. Today you will how to complain if there weren't any soap, and how to ask for one to be delivered to your room.
