أحب الدروس مع الاغاني أيضا
I also enjoy Ehab's singing: not sure how to say that in Arabic though; got stuck on "singing". As tau wrote songs stick in the mind; off to listen to the Babar lesson I just found. :-)
And I echo your comments on subscriptions: definitely worth it -- you do a great job and your efforts are appreciated.
Some questions if I may?:
- is the tanween used in certain circumstances and 'al' in others?; e.g. would you use one in formal/written contexts and the other in spoken, or can they both be used anytime?
- in Ehab's PLC [did you have a cold Ehab, or was it just my old speakers?; hope you're feeling better if you did...] is the word مادام؟ or are they short a's?
-- in the 'on-the-fly' sentence [well done!],
can you explain the beginning of Mohamad's second sentence [wa hulwaha?]?; or do you want us to try first? ;-)
Thanks as always. -
[sorry for spelling your name wrong Mohamed above...]

Thanks tau and climacus.
Best thing to understand defining words in Arabic is to search for the word (tanween) in our Lessons page, and just listen to them. You will find at least 3 lessons discussing that topic.
The phrase (as long as) is written as (ما دام).
As for the on-the-fly test, I will just give you a hint, but you need to work it out yourselves. The hint is (wa hal huwa) is how you write it, now it is your bit to work out the meaning :)
Thanks for asking about my voice by the way. I think I had a dry throat that day. Now am fine. -
Thanks Ehab; I'll look up the tanween lessons once I get home [lunch time on Monday here currently].
And not sure how I got what I wrote above from the PLC; thanks for the hint -- I think I have it. -

I always found that children songs as the basis of a lesson, or any songs or nashets, tend to stick much better than ordinary lessons.
God job!
