climacus saysMon 27th May 13@11:15 amMmmmmm....I had zatar bread [خبز الزعتر ? - is that right?] almost every day for breakfast (with cheese, coffee...) when I travelled around Lebanon a few years ago: I miss it.
-
climacus, hope you enjoyed it. You can call it (خبز و زعتر) or actually there is a colloquial word for it which is (مناقيش) or (mana2eesh) in the Shami dialect.
-
Ah...that's right; now I remember. Thanks Ehab!

There seems to be some back coupling in the PLC. Sounds almost like in the Helium kesson. ;-)
-
The PLC actually sounds fine to me, listening on the website.
-
how do you say : no yolk - only egg white ?
-
The way you would say that in Arabic is (bidoon 9afaar albay9' بدون صفار البيض) which is (without egg yolk), then you continue (faqa6 bayaa9' albay9' فقط بياض البيض) which is of course (only egg white). Notice we relate the yolk to its colour (9afaar from a9far - yellow) and the same for the egg white (bayaa9' from abya9' - white).
-
Helpful text but I get the same problem as Tau with the quality of the sound on the PLC - whether online or downloaded
-
Ehab....how do you spell the 'aish 'word for bread ?..and I meant PC....not PLC
-
.. just found it on wordreference.com... عيش
.. Ehab what do you recommend for English to Arabic on-line look up.. in this example Google did not give عيش as a translation for "bread"
