Beginner - Don't be selfish

Wooow I really love this lesson and I learned a new word which is selfish! You guys are doing a wonderful job and I always learn new things from y'all everyday. Thanks

In the American movie "Body of Lies" , there is a Jordanian security chief , who uses the phrase, أنسى !

The context of the movie seems to indicate it means something akin to "Hell no" or "Screw you!"

Obviously from this lesson, it appears to literally mean "Forget about it!" I am just wondering if أنسى is actually used this way in Jordan or anywhere in the Arabic world. Or is this a case of more bad American movie translations?

tomest05, the word (insaa إنسى) is actually used in Arabic to mean (am not doing it), and just like you pointed out, it literally means (forget it). Just note it is not the most polite way to say am not doing something, exactly like saying (forget about it) in English, so you need to watch out who you say it to, we don't want to put you in trouble :)
