@plop, The audio transcripts need to be downloaded and then opened via Adobe reader otherwise they will not work. If you open them via Internet Explorer for example, the built in pdf reader in the browser does not support embedded audio.
We plan to replace the audio transcript with a better alternative page in the near future
Thanks -
I use PDF Converter Pro from the company Nuance - works well. Have not had any problem with the audio transcripts.

Is تقديم طلب , the word for apply?
Is the the talab word necessary to imply? How about apply for a job?
قدمت طلب لوظيفة
"I applied for a job"
Is that correct? Thanks! -
tomest05 , literally the word (6alab طلب) means (request or asking), and you can use it in (طلب وظيفة or عمل) which is - literally - (job request) and in other scenarios as was described in the PLC.
If you say (قدمت طلب لوظيفة) then this is more of (I applied a request for a job) which is not wrong, but the best way of saying (I applied for a job) is simply saying:
قدمت على وظيفة
Obviously not a literal translation but this is the common way of saying it in Arabic. -
Very challenging but rewarding lesson...I have had to review this one three times to really understand all the vocabulary....please keeping adding more podcasts to the Intermediate levels and up! :-)

Many universities in the Arab world provide scholarships to foreigners. However, there are rules in place in order to be considered. Tune in to learn plenty of useful Arabic vocabulary while the hosts go through an article providing study grant opportunities.
