I put a couple of Arabicpod reviews up on this Linguaholic website, for everyone's reading entertainment:

I am a premium subscriber but can't access the audio on the premium audio transcript. Can anyone help me? I use an iMac running Mac OS X Lion 10.7.5. Mousing over the audio icon shows nothing and right clicking does not bring up a way to hear the audio either. Help!
(I have no problem with the audio on the exercises.)

I don't use a Mac, but on Windows one needs to install a .pdf reader. Here is a link to a free .pdf reader for Mac review:
http://download.cnet.com/Adobe-Reader/3000-10743_4-10000060.html
In Windows, I think it is all about the reader being used. Personally, I use Nuance software for .pdf manipulation and have had no problems using PDF Converter on the sound embedded .pdfs. -
chazyouwin: Thank you for your help. Re-downloading the most recent version of Adobe Reader made it clear to me that although I already had it, it was not my default program for opening pdf files. Now it is. If I download the audio transcript and enable all the features, I can hear the transcript! Yay, thank you again for taking time to help.

Hey guys,
this lesson is very good, as usual.:-)
Is my impression correct that you applied a software to stretch the sound track in the second translation and also in the first part of breaking the dialogue down?
The idea would be not bad at all. A problem however might be that also the pauses beetween the words were stetched and sounded a little strange. ;-P -
@chazyouwin, really appreciate spreading the word on ArabicPod :-)
-
@tau, we did not stretch any sounds in the podcast. The podcasts do get edited and go through a strict review process before they are released, but generally you hear our real un-stretched voices

Tau, I use Downcast, a download off of Itunes - the player has buttons for 1/2 speed and double speed - double speed is great for beginner lessons and 1/2 speed for the upper intermediates. Very nice. (Actually, wouldn't mind also seeing the advanced lessons on the auto feed).

When you see a child with hair so long that it almost covers the eyes, you want to know how to ask the parent why the child hasn't received a freaking haircut. Tune in to learn how to ask this particular question in Arabic.
