tomest05 saysFri 3rd Apr 15@03:37 amOutstanding dialogue, this was extremely useful! Are there any "perfunctory" Arabic expressions for accepting apologies or making apologies? Those are always useful to have off hand!
-
Oh the PLC covers some good ones.
Is regret - ندم ؟
-
@tomest05, yes regret is ندم - Nadam and it's a noun here with a silent end. Nadima means he regretted.
Regarding your first question about "perfunctory" Arabic expressions, I don't there are any actual words or phrases used but it's more like 'how' you say it. Like a child when you tell him to say sorry and they say it reluctantly. -
Ecellent lesson. Thank you.
What nearet dialect is it?
Gulf? Or just general colloquial? -
@Eni, if we had to specify the closest dialect then it is probably gulf because of a few words like أبغاك and ايش which are predominately used in that dialect
