Hi there guys,
That is a very nice part of lesson, which will be handy for everyone.
I know also one extra word, which I use sometimes "دورة المياه"(dawrat al-miyah)I heard it in Egypt as far as I remember it means also "toilet".
One question about word"Ye7’aleek"
is it comes from word"خلى"(khallA)-to abandom,to leave. Can you give 2 examples of using this word?
The rest lesson was quite easy and I really liked
Bye for now
-
Yes czarek25, "خلى"(khalla)means to leave or to let. An example is:
خليني أنام - let me sleep, or leave me to sleep.
Also another example in lesson (Wake up), just go to the lessons page and search for (wake up), we've used the verb there.
Salaaam

"Ana hashraan" can be rendered idiomatically into English as "I'm at bursting point" or "I'm close to bursting". Typical examples of such word combinations can be found on the Web.
-
Hahaha :) The most hilarious lesson till now :) My husband died laughing when I told him the word 'حشران- :)))
And gross noises, brrrrrrrrr!!!
Excellent job, guys! -
Hello,
Thank you for this funny and useful lesson :)
Can the word حشران be used after you eat a big meal, indicating that your stomach is full to its limits? -
@cebrax, Glad you liked the lesson :smirk:
No حشران just means that you are desperate to go to the toilet. The word that means full from a meal means
شبعان
Shab3aan
A lot of people say the verb
شبعت
Shabe3t
after completing a meal which is the verb meaning "I became full"
-
@Moshaya
Oh, that is really bad news. It also explains the facial expression on the face of the guy I said this to.. Luckily I said "I'm full, I've just ate" in English, too :)

Let's face it, it happens to all of us once in a while, the embarrassing situation where you can barely hold it in any longer, you just need the toilet there and then! And what happens if someone else is using it? Well, of course, you bang on the door and shout to them to get out as if your life depended on it! This lesson brings you some vital vocab needed when facing such dire situation, so don't miss out on this one!
