I hate it when i order food and it comes late,, it does not happen that often with me, but when it happens, I really feel angry :coolgrin: What is the point of eating when I am nearly dead :coolhmm:
By the way,, hearing you saying(Joo3aan),, everyone here says (joo3aan) for (hungry), when shall we say (jaa2e3) then?

jaa2e3 (جائع) is used in classical Arabic, very unlikely to hear it in the street, however it is used in books , newspapers or the news in Arabic TV channels.

Wow, this dialogue was pretty cool and I had some difficulties even to understand few words.As always I have some questions :


1)verb yabdu(comes from بدا-badA)and it goes always with ان-anna.
Example:هو يبجو اصغر مني-He seems to be smaller than me?Is it correct example
2)verb yade3o(comes from ضاع-dA3a).Present tense is like اصيت.Past tense ضيت.
3)I am not sure about the word "مفروض'is it similar to word in English like"assumed or imposed.Can you give one extra example to understand this word much better:)
4)What is the diffrence between "علم"and عرف"
5)Is word "المعذرة"the same like "اسف'.All are like classical words or one of them is dialect
6)I am not sure about last sentence:
اظنه جاء الان.Why you didn't say :اظنه ان جاء الان.I am also confused about verb "jA2a-to come.I haven't heard it in present before is it like "اجيء".I asked about this form but someone told me that it is used in present at all.

1) Yes the verb يبدو comes from بدا and your example needs (أنّ) so the sentence would become: يبدو أنّه أصغر مني he seems younger than me.
2) The verb yadee3o or ya9’ee3o (يضيع) is already a present tense which means (he gets lost). The past tense is the root itself which is 9’aa3a (ضاع).
3) مفروض mostly needs something with it to complete its meaning, in the lesson, we used المفروض أن which means (it was supposed to).The verb that means (assume) is (إفترض) like saying: أنا أفترض أنك تعرف which is: I assume that you know.
4) علم and عرف have same meaning although there is very fine (little) difference between them, it will be too advanced to explain it but general speaking, the word عرف is more general than علم and it can be used instead of (علم) in most cases.
5) آسف and المعذرة are classical, the difference between them is آسف means Sorry and المعذرة means Apology.. so it is just the meaning.
6) أظنه جاء الان can take أن, but you need to take the letter HA (which is pronoun) in (أظنه) and give it to (أنّ) so it becomes (أظنّ أنه جاء الآن).
By the way, the present tense of جاء is يجئ which means he comes, or أجئ which is I come.

How do you say "I drive" and "I drove"? Also how do you say "you wet yourself"?

ramina, "I drive" is (ana asooq- أنا أسوق) and "I drove" ia (ana suqt - أنا سُقت).
"You wet yourself" is "ballalt nafsak - بلّلت نفسك" :)
