what is the meaning of من المنزل
-
Salam guys,
Haven't written anything for long time because last lessons were quite nice and easy so not much to ask but now I feel I need to know more.
1)عصر is the same like"time,or afternnon(ظهر
is there any diffrence between these two words?
2)ناد-means club. How can we say "disco-club"in classical and in dialect language?
3)How often rather when do we use word"غاية what this word means alone?.Lel3'Ayat- is like extreme.
4)معتقدا is this word come from verb"اعتقد-believe.What is the diffrence between يؤمن ?
5)In the end of sentece 3 I have suggestion about ending"تستطيع ان ارافقني "tasta6ee3 An OrAfeqatanee"You can accompany(join) me.
6)اخطات -I couldn't find equivalent of this word like mixed. Can you give more information where it comes from?
Ok i hope that it is enough for now.
Thanx a lot for great lesson
Ma3a salama -
plop; من المنزل means (From the house).
czarek25, as always, here are my comments/answers:
1) عصر is the time between afternoon and the sunset, you can call it late afternoon as Mohammad said in the lesson.
2) Club is نادي , disco is used as it is in English, like ديسكو
3) Yes, the غاية of the thing is the extreme of it. للغاية means extremely
4) يؤمن means to believe and it is more specific for faith, while يعتقد can be more general and the best translation for it is to think
5) It is wrong to say تستطيع ان ارافقني, once you said تستطيع, then you should have used ترافقني.
6) أخطأت means to mistake, so the guy said he has mistaken the days, but in English people say (mix the days), so we tried to translate it is it is said in English and not to translate it literally
Hope all the points are clear now.

What have you got planned for the weekend? A fun filled couple of days venturing around or a lazy time indoors? Whatever you're doing, you'll soon be able to express it all in Arabic! Perhaps your friend will invite you to something more exciting than what you had originally planned. Learn how to either accept their request with open arms or gracefully decline.
