Very good lesson, now would that be درس ممتاز?

A number of times I notice that the words in arabic can be switched in places without changing the meaning .. in this lesson forinstance I noticed that Ehab used شوية مشغولة and مشغولة شوية. What is the rule regarding this, when can this be done without changing meaning, and where should one be careful if anyplace where the word placing can change the meaning.

Yes you can say درس ممتاز . It’s a nominal sentence درس is the subject and ممتاز is the predicate. Notice the noun درس must come first, you can’t say ممتاز درس

Regarding your other question, which is a really good one. Basically both مشغولة شوية and شوية مشغولة means the same thing (a little busy). Weather you use the 1st or 2nd form depends on the emphasis. If you want to emphasise on مشغولة then it would be best to say مشغولة شوية. In the lesson’s dialogue, because the person was asked whether she was busy, the emphasis in the answer is ‘a little’ i.e. شوية so this word came before مشغولة. Actually, مشغولة could have been removed all together because it’s obvious she’s talking about how busy she is since the question was around it. So, she could have even said يعني، شوية. وأنت؟

I like your system to build up the sentences and explain and repeat. There is only one thing i would like to improve. The arabic letters in the excercises are too thick, they are not easy to read. Can you do anything about that, please?
