In Egyptian Arabic, yaa rayta is used, instead of yaa layta.

Both may be followed by personal suffix. For example, yaa laytanee, yaa laytaka, yaa laytahu, etc.

Hey guys - love the "random word" feature on the right hand side of the page. But I dislike having to go to the menu bar of the browser with the mouse. Can you placing a refresh button next to the arrow? So then we would just click arrow, then move the mouse slightly, click refresh and get a new word, etc.

@chazyouwin, not a bad idea at all. We'll work on it... There is a random word feature on the dictionary page btw.

Yes, those dictionary pages and their exercises are terrifically well done. And they might also benefit by a "refresh" button next to or near the pronunciation arrow button. As I get better I like to spend less time on each activity per word and less time mousing around.

... and you can hear the words with proper pronunciation, and probably get an example of the word in a sentence .

For those who like flashcards, download ANKI there are many premade card decks made in Arabic which you can use. (p.s. this is not spam! It's all free.)

The advantage here is that Ehab/Moshaya provide pronunciation which the anki flashcards dont have.

Many of the Byki lists have pronounciation as well. Quality varies a lot, but some are pretty well done. I'd love for an Arabic speaker to read in the 501 Arabic verbs in the Barron's book.
