So much useful vocabulary…including the plurals! But one question…The word وسادة is also used for pillow-is one more common than the other?

@shebab , the word (وسادة) is also used for (pillow), but it is used only in classical Arabic, while (مخدة) is used in classical and colloquial as well.

Agreed great listen! One expression that I always need to learn is the phrase "to pick up" as in "I need to pick up my brother from the airport" or "I will pick up the mattress from the store tomorrow". Any help on the proper verbs to use for those sentences! Thanks!

@tomest05 , in the example (I need to pick up my brother from the airport) you can use (Awa99il أوصّل) in colloquial or (u79'ir أحضر) in classical Arabic to say (I pick up). But you have to be careful with (Awa99il أوصّل) because it is used only with people, so you can't use it with the (mattress). To say (I will pick up the mattress) you still can use (u79'ir أحضر) in classical Arabic, but in colloquial the verb (ajeeb أجيب) is what you need to use, where (ajeeb) is actually another way of saying (I bring).
