    I had a question, if someone doesn't listen and you warn them over and over, for example telling a child don't touch that and then they touch it and hurt themselves can you say تستاهل عليك

    I know my grandfather always use to say this to us whenever we didn't listen to him. Is this the right context to say this phrase?

    @jamalbinti14, Yes that is indeed a situation where 'Tastaahil' is used. When someone was warned, he/she didn't listen and then there was a bad consequence. he/she might hear تستاهل or تستاهلي. By the way, there is no need to add عليك after, one can just say تستاهل

    I found this beginner lesson more challenging than most (due to the number of unfamiliar words). Maybe leaning toward lower intermediate.
