Beginner - Can't talk now
When someone calls you at a bad time, how do you explain nicely that you are busy and will call back when you're free? That's one exactly what you will learn in today's podcast.

which country's dialect? i thought the lesson would be in Fusha?
|
Hi Husna91 - I think Arabicpod has some lessons in Fusha, but generally Fusha isn't its focus.
Its focus is mostly on colloquial Arabic, so we can learn to talk easily and naturally with people throughout the Arabic-speaking world. (Lessons often do include some Fusha, and often there is commentary on differences between Fusha and colloquial terms. Basically, the focus is on whatever will be easily understood throughout the Arabic-speaking world). For this reason, the focus usually isn't on a particular dialect, but rather on language that will be understood throughout the Arabic-speaking world. But there are also lessons in specific dialects. For example, if you put "Levantine" into the search box, you will find various lessons in the Levantine dialect. (Where the lesson is in a specific dialect, there will generally be an indication of this, either in the lesson heading, or in the spoken information from the presenters.) |
I had to use Chrome (mobile) to open the files. Works fine now.
